High Speed Pursuit Ends Safely
A high speed pursuit in El Segundo earlier today was caused by a couple of teenagers who decided to take their grandmother’s car for a joy ride. Police say that the two teenagers were staying at their grandma’s house for the weekend. The teenagers waited until their grandmother went to bed before they took the car out of the garage. The kids made it look like they were in the bed just in case their grandma checked the rooms in the middle of the night. Police say the grandma checked the room and then looked outside and noticed that her car was missing. She called the police immediately and reported the car stolen. Police came across the car not too far from the house, but when police tried to pull the car over, the teenagers did not comply. The teenagers finally stopped after a few blocks and surrendered without incident.
